This week’s email is kindly being sponsored by Vivid-Pix

You probably know Vivid-Pix for their patented, image improvement software RESTORE, but there’s so much more for both individuals and organizations! Vivid-Pix invents and harnesses technologies, making it simple and affordable for everyone to relive memories and share stories with software to restore old photos and documents, bringing back precious memories that were thought lost from the passage of time or cognitive decline, or helping bring families and friends together at reunions.

Please take a quick journey on their site https://vivid-pix.com and view how they’ve grown over the past 10+ years.

🔵 DEERFIELD MASSACRE OF 1704
As a descendant of more than one lucky survivor of the Deerfield Massacre of 1704, I’m looking forward to a new book and virtual program on March 11 from American Ancestors, “The Deerfield Massacre: A Surprise Attack, a Forced March, and the Fight for Survival in Early America.” This program also offers the option to purchase a signed copy of the book. This historical episode is indeed a riveting tale of endurance from the early chapters of American history.

🔵 GRIP UPDATES
The Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP), now part of NGS, has launched a new website with all the details for the 2024 virtual and in-person programs. The virtual GRIP session will be 23-28 June 2024; the in-person session is 14-19 July 2024 at LaRoche University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Registration opens February 20 at 1 pm Eastern for the virtual courses, and at 3 pm for the in-person session.

🔵 NGS CONFERENCE & DISCOUNTS
This year’s NGS conference, “Expanding Possibilities,” will be entirely virtual May 16-18, with access available to all registrants until 15 August. Organization members have special discounts available to them for up to 3 leaders, volunteers or employees, so be sure to take advantage!

🔵 NEW BENEFITS FOR NGS ORGANIZATION MEMBERS
A new educational and resource partnership has been created between the National Genealogical Society (NGS) and The Family History Guide Association (TFHGA). NGS organization member benefits will include:

  • a free virtual one-time presentation or training session with a TFHGA representative
