If you’re ready to get serious about your genealogy education, here are some programs to consider. Note that while some provide “Certificates,” and all are excellent genealogy education programs, they do not provide “Certification.” (Please see beneath the chart for information about Certification and Accreditation).

The International Commission for the Accreditation of Genealogists (ICAPGen(SM)), based in Orem, Utah, confers Accredited Genealogist® credentials on members who comply with its requirements.
