CALENDAR or VIRTUAL CALENDAR for
ALL of the upcoming genealogy events.

. . . . . .

This week’s new events emails out early, but the numbers are down — most likely for one of two reasons. First is that it’s coming up to the end of the year, and I’ve already posted most events through December for many societies and libraries. The second reason is that I haven’t had the time to search for new events other than what have been submitted. I’m on a fun road trip this week, and will be for a couple more. Fortunately I’m not doing all the driving, so I’m able to check and respond to email while travelling.  Everything else is getting handled once we stop for the evening and hook up to internet somewhere.

GENEALOGY COURSE SERIES
There are a couple of new multi-session basic genealogy education series/courses added this week. One is by Genealogical Society of Greater Miami, and another by Milwaukee County Genealogical Society. The Center for Jewish History is also starting a 10 session Intro to Jewish History online course as well. You’ll find the link to details on both the website “What’s New” list, as well as on the calendars.

OTHER TOPICS
Just some of the topics in this week’s added genealogy events include PERSI, Family Archives Preservation, DNA, Masonic history, Cemeteries, Colonial History, Jewish research, and German research. Peruse this week’s What’s New list to see all the new additions and get registered!

UKRAINIAN ARCHIVES
The Ukrainian History and Education Center will be holding a free webinar on “FamilySearch Operations in Ukraine” on Oct. 25. Learn about FamilySearch’s large-scale efforts to digitize genealogy materials in Ukrainian archives. https://www.ukrhec.org/civicrm/event/info%3Fid%3D186%26reset%3D1

WELCOME QFHS!
Queensland Family History Society has submitted several upcoming webinars – some free, some at a slight cost. I’m pretty sure I’ve got the time zone information correct for North America and the UK, but please verify yourself before the event. Queensland is currently on Australia Eastern Standard Time, which is, if my time conversion website is correct, 15 hours ahead of US Eastern time, so for some events depending on the presentation time, the day may also be different. Again, if you’re marking your calendar check the day and time for your time zone.

As always, please feel free to email me if you’ve got any suggestions or questions. You can use the CONTACT form on the website or email me at info@conferencekeeper.org. I always sincerely appreciate your input! And as always, thank you for reading 🙂
