CALENDAR or VIRTUAL CALENDAR for
ALL of the upcoming genealogy events.

. . . . . .

Thank you to everyone for your patience over the past three weeks as I worked from the passenger seat of our Kia Soul, budget hotel nightstands, or the dining table at family and friends’ houses. It sure is good to be back home, sitting at my desk in my comfy chair, updating genealogy events on ConferenceKeeper. This week I’ve added over 200 new genealogy events!

As always the newly added events cover a pretty full range of genealogy research interests. Raleigh Senior TechEd has shared their November-December courses which are specifically geared for adult learners.  I’ve included on the calendar several that are either for genealogy or related to tools used for genealogy research. Some are free, others are $10; Some are Virtual, and some are in-person in Raleigh, NC.  They are again offering private coaching sessions on Ancestry.com for only $25 for a two-hour session, at a time and date that will be arranged between you and the coach/instructor. The full schedule of courses can be found at https://www.raleighseniorteched.org/schedule/

The UK-based Church Monuments Society  (“for everyone who is fascinated by tomb carvings, from medieval effigies to modern gravestones”) has two interesting webinars posted on topics I haven’t seen before: “No Corpse, No Monument: Coffins for Vault Burial 1750-1900 “ and “Commemoration and burial practices of the Scots in 17th century Ireland”.    The Onondaga County Public Library has a newly added free webinar upcoming titled “Reflecting and Planning for 2023″ — always good to start planning before the end of year holidays take over all your time.  And another online program that sounds fun is the Miami-Dade Public Library‘s upcoming event, “What’s It Worth? – Virtual Appraisal Open House”, Monday November 14 at 6:00 pm Eastern. Space is limited and registration is required. These are just a couple of the many new events — be sure to peruse the whole list, register for those that catch your interest, and add them to your calendar!

***Although added to the calendar a while back, I think it’s worth mentioning again to this particular audience — The Association of Professional Genealogists is hosting a free webinar coming up this Tuesday, November 8, presented by Kelli Bergheimer: “Organizing Your Genealogical Education and News Alerts.”   I plan to attend, and hope to have a few ideas to share on this in next week’s email. Get registered SOON though!

Thank you again to those of you who emailed me with questions and website glitches. I really appreciate it! Please don’t ever hesitate to let me know if anything seems amiss on the website, or if you have any suggestions or questions. You can use the CONTACT form on the website or email me at info@conferencekeeper.org. I always sincerely appreciate your input! And as always, thank you for reading 🙂
