The folks at RootsTech announced the 2026 theme this week: “Together.” This theme emphasizes global connection, collaboration, family history as a shared experience. RootsTech 2026 is the world’s largest family history and genealogy conference, organized by FamilySearch and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The online conference events will all be entirely free. In-person attendance for three full days at the conference in Salt Lake City March 5-7 is currently on sale for just $99, with this earlybird price ending January 13. LEGACY FAMILY TREE WEBINARS
LFTW posted a couple of details about their 2026 webinars this week. First, a collage of 2026 speakers was posted on their Facebook page. Next, Webinar Wednesday is returning this coming year, and finally (for now) they mentioned a 10-day “Genealogy Deep Dive” featuring one theme, multiple sessions over the course of 10 days. NGS CONFERENCE REGISTRATION DISCOUNTS
Registration is open for the National Genealogical Society 2026 Family History Conference “America at 250.” Register by February 28 to save up to $50 on member or nonmember registration, or for Youth Registration for ages 14-24.
