SAFEGUARDING YOUR DNA DATA

With the future of 23&me uncertain, it’s advisable to download your DNA from the website if you haven’t already.  Aimee Cross has created instructions in her short video “How to Download your 23&Me data – – Protect Your DNA & Family Tree Data Before It’s Too Late!” https://youtu.be/yYSQZf_a1vA

Whether or not you should delete your data completely from the site is up to you. But after verifying your data has downloaded, if you decide to completely delete your data from their website, here are the simple, but irreversible, steps (from CBSnews.com):  1) Log in to your account. 2) Go to “settings”. 3) Scroll to “23andMe data”. 4) Click “view”. 5) Scroll to “delete data”. 6) Click “permanently delete data”. 7) Confirm your request.

CK WEBSITE UPDATES

This week I worked on submission forms, and have now created a dedicated form to submit Calls for Papers and/or Presentations, and updated the Podcast & YouTube  form also.  You can find all of these under the SUBMISSION tab in the menu bar.
