  • William Tecumseh Sherman, 1820. Remembered for his devastating march through Georgia during the Civil War, and for saying “War is hell”.
  • Jules Verne, 1828. French writer, sometimes called “the father of science fiction”. Author of Around the World in Eighty Days, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and many others.
