The National Genealogical Society 2016 Family History Conference officially starts tomorrow, May 4, 2016, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Whether you’re lucky enough to be able to attend, or watching the social media updates from a distance, here is some information that will help you keep up with all of the exciting genealogy happenings at the conference!
First, today (Tuesday, May 3) is the deadline to register for live streaming access to the sessions on May 5-6. Registering not only gives you access to the live stream, but also access to the recorded sessions at a later date. Please read all of the details soon if you’re interested, because the deadline is TODAY!
Second, we’ve set up a stream on our website under the “Happening Now” area (under the Calendar tab) to live stream the Twitter feed with the official hashtag of NGS2016 (which is #NGS2016GEN). You can read all of the tweets as they happen, or easily scroll back to see what you may have missed, even if you don’t have a Twitter account.
Finally, we’re curating all of the photos being posted on Instagram with the same conference hashtag (#NGS2016GEN), into an album on our Facebook page. Feel free to check them out to actually see what’s going on.
