Fold3 is offering free access to veteran pension files through this Monday, October 7. Documents in these files may contain all kinds of genealogy gold, including spouse’s maiden name, children’s birthdates, marriage date and location, and more. (I’ve been downloading full files like crazy!) Details here.
GOOD NEWS FROM VIVID-PIX
Rick Voight at Vivid-Pix announced this week that their patent-pending Memory Station Software which allows you to record and share your memories with your photos, is now available to use with most ALL brands of scanners and all-in-one printers. You can try this software out for free, and record some stories with photos you’ve already scanned. Once you’ve fallen in love with how easy it is to preserve your stories and memories, you can take advantage of the sale going on through October. Details here.
