  • Louise Beavers, 1902. Hollywood actress for over 30 years and more than 125 films. Member of the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame.
  • Kenneth Grahame, 1859. Scottish author, who wrote The Wind in the Willows.
  • Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., 1841. Harvard law professor, appointed to the Mass. Supreme Court, and the US Supreme Court by President Theodore Roosevelt.
  • Hannah Hoes Van Buren, 1783. Wife of US president Martin Van Buren.
