SCGS Jamboree 2016 – June 3-5 – Burbank, California
The Southern California Genealogical Society’s Annual Jamboree is seriously one of the most fun of all of the genealogy conferences that I’ve ever been to for many reasons. One reason is that it’s not as overwhelmingly huge as some of the real “biggies”. It’s a manageable size – you can easily access just about any area of the conference in minutes. Another is that the atmosphere befits the name – it’s like a big ol’ party where all your friends will be. All your crazy, wacky friends who love genealogy just as much as you do.
Because of its size and location, Jamboree attracts some different vendors that you might not see at NGS or FGS. So if you’re going, check out the list of who will be in the Exhibit Hall. If you’re not, well, figure out how you’ll get there next year!

If you can’t make it to Burbank, California, in person, you can watch live-streamed sessions for free, purchase recordings and more. See the main website for all those details, including WHERE TO PARK, WHERE TO EAT, and what other activities are planned.
