We have a great lineup of bands and musicians playing everything from traditional Irish music, to contemporary and rock Irish music. There will also be a several pipe and drum bands performing at the festival, as well as pipe and drum solo competitions, and band competitions judged by the WUSPBA (Western United States Pipe Band Association).
Sports!
Presented by The Denver Gaels, Irish sports of Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic football are showcased at the Colorado Irish Festival. These invitational games include teams from out of state that festival patrons wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to see.
The Denver Gaels club plays recreationally in local Denver leagues, as well as competitively in regional and national tournaments. The Gaels are a vibrant community with over 100 players and members, and they welcome new players throughout the year, at all levels of experience.
