August 7-12, 2016 – 36th IAJGS Int’l Conference on Jewish Genealogy, Seattle, Washington

The conference will run from  9 AM  Sunday, August 7, to noon Friday, August 12, 2016, at the Sheraton Seattle Downtown Hotel, 1400 Sixth Avenue, Seattle, Washington 98101.

This year’s focus is The Wandering Jew.

Tracks will include:

  • The Sephardic Experience in the United States
  • European Migrations
  • South American, Australian and South African Branches
  • Westward Ho! Jews in the Western US
  • Coming Home to Israel

A special feature of this year’s conference will be sessions on Sunday morning, August 7, about teaching genealogy in formal and informal educational settings.

A convention for people of German origin interested in the genealogy, culture and history of their ancestors who migrated through Russian Poland, Volhynia, and surrounding areas.

For late registrations, we suggest printing and completing the registration form and sending a scan to and bring the form and payment to the convention when you check in. This gives us head-count for attendance as well as the Banquet, and Name Badges. You can also send an email to with the required information set out in the registration form.

Walk-ins for the convention are accepted at the door, but there is no guarantee for banquet tickets.
