ARE YOU RESEARCHING GERMAN ANCESTORS?
I say this a lot, but you can really gain a lot of value from joining genealogical societies from all over – whether areas that your ancestors are from, or societies focused on specific groups they may have belonged to.  One such group is The German Genealogy Group, a society in New York that is devoted to German research. They have monthly meetings and other events which are available both in-person and via Zoom – however the virtual option is for members only.  Membership is only $15/year and includes a lot of other benefits of value to anyone doing German research, just a few of which are translation services, mentoring, and a virtual help desk to assist you with your brick walls. Details on the society and their benefits of membership can be found at https://bit.ly/3NUyH6e
