Oh my goodness! I’ve got so much great genealogy education news for you this week!! I’ll start with the obvious — RootsTech begins this week. Even if you aren’t able to attend the event in Salt Lake City, you can participate and watch many of the live events and keynote presentations from your home. Be sure to create a free account and peruse all of the Online courses available too, and save favorites to your own Playlist to watch throughout the year.

🔵 NEW A.I. TOOLBOX MONTHLY WORKSHOPS
The National Genealogical Society (NGS) has just announced monthly online workshops on the amazing ways you can use AI for your family history, beginning in March. No prior experience with AI is needed, and while they are not free, they are open to all. “Each month a different Toolmaster will demonstrate practical uses of the latest free and subscription-based AI tools. Workshops will include approximately 60 minutes of demonstration and 30 minutes for Q&A.”

The first workshop, March 21 at 2 pm Eastern, is “Use AI for Your Family Photos” with Mark Thompson. “Discover how AI can reinvent your approach to family photo research. Learn about the wide variety of AI tools available to help you identify individuals in photos with greater efficiency and accuracy. Let AI streamline your process of organizing and enhancing your photos for both research and enjoyment.”

See the website for the upcoming workshop topics and instructors, and register soon – space will be limited (I’ve signed up for March already myself!) ! https://pxl.to/NGSMarchWorkshop24

It’s a new hands-on “Who Done It” for fans of genealogy and murder mysteries. Last year’s event had rave reviews! Full details at https://www.gsievents.com/superstition-mountains
